Senelec clarifie les dysfonctionnements des stations de pompage à Touba après les pluies
Following ONAS's statements attributing to Senelec a connection fault that disrupted pumping stations in Touba after heavy rains over the weekend, Senelec published a press release on Wednesday to provide clarification.
Keur Niang Station
Senelec states that, according to the third-party works procedure, the ONAS service provider was required to submit an acceptance request with as-built drawings and test reports, which was not done, leaving the work unfinished. "This is certainly the reason why a generator was chartered by ONAS for the inauguration," the press release states. Faced with the rainfall, the Senelec department head in Touba requested an emergency connection. The teams, mobilized from 7 a.m. on August 4, completed the work, and commissioning has been effective since August 5, 2025.
Nguelemou Station
The acceptance request, received on July 29, 2025, led to an acceptance mission on July 31, with transmission of the minutes on August 1. The connection was carried out on August 5, in agreement with the service provider.
Senelec reiterates that the power supply to the stations is the responsibility of ONAS and its service providers, with its role limited to technical support until commissioning. This press release aims to clarify responsibilities in this post-rainfall emergency context.

Qu’est-Ce qui a changé à l’onas ? Rien. Un DG à côté de la plaque avec le même personnel d’avant et les mêmes entreprises. Vous espériez un changement ?
