"SIMOL" EN MARGE DES COMBATS DE LUTTE : Le rappeur Rifou s’insurge contre la décision du ministre de l’Intérieur de sanctionner les lutteurs
The Minister of the Interior and Public Security, Bamba Cissé, announced strict measures against mass and group attacks, commonly known as "simol," often observed on the sidelines of wrestling matches. He warned that sanctions will now be imposed on wrestlers if such acts are found in their camp, emphasizing that public safety must not be compromised.
But rapper Rifou is outraged by this decision. He denounces a blatant injustice, pointing out that no sanctions have yet been imposed for the 87 deaths during the political demonstrations. "Who called for a 'mortal combat'? Who pushed young people to sacrifice themselves? Who asked young people to take to the streets? Who said he needed courageous and strong young people to liberate the country? What do you expect from the case of the 87 dead when you know perfectly well who is responsible?" he fumes.
According to Rifou, before punishing wrestlers or promoters who hire security guards, the state must first assume its own responsibilities and deliver justice to the victims of political violence. "Street security is the government's responsibility, not the wrestlers'," he said, calling the ministerial decision a "farce."
