Gouvernement SONKO II : Passage de témoin entre Olivier BOUCAL et Abass FALL, Ministre du Travail sortant
The handover ceremony between Mr. Olivier BOUCAL, Minister of Public Service, Labor and Public Service Reform and Mr. Abass FALL, outgoing Minister took place this Tuesday, September 16, 2025 in the conference room of the Ministry of Labor.
Mr. FALL congratulated Mr. BOUCAL for strengthening his responsibilities with the Department of Labor through the renewed confidence of the President of the Republic, Bassirou Diomaye Diakhar Faye, and his Prime Minister, Mr. Ousmane Sonko. He prayed for the success of this new and exciting mission.
Speaking, Mr. BOUCAL expressed his deep gratitude to the country's supreme authority for the renewed confidence in him and the expansion of his ministerial responsibilities. He wished Mr. Abass FALL good luck in his new role as Mayor of Dakar and expressed his deep gratitude for the work accomplished within the government, while reiterating his willingness to continue working together to meet the many challenges ahead.
Addressing the staff, he explained that the Ministry of Public Service and Public Service Reform is a family. "You have just been attached to a large family that will offer you all the amenities for fulfillment in your work and the human warmth worthy of a real Senegalese family," he declared.
He also pledged to make this merger an opportunity for our country, by implementing public policies and programs that meet the needs of citizens and contribute to the achievement of sustainable development goals.
"Believe me, Mr. Minister, all my teams are already eager to welcome your agents in order to continue the excellent work begun and offer a better quality of service to users for the triumph of the ideals that found and enrich our society," he assured.
At the same time, Mr. Abass FALL handed over the reins to Mrs. Marie Rose Khady Fatou FAYE, Secretary of State to the Prime Minister, in charge of Relations with Institutions and Government Spokesperson.

Très gros Ministère. Faut s'organiser et impliquer tout le Personnel pour être engagé, productif, loyal et relever dans les délais requis les défis qui se posent à ce Ministère élargi. Bon vent Mr le Ministre, déjà mi-mandat, accélérez la cadence.

Il faut impérativement aller au secours des travailleurs de l'hotelerie.
Abass Fall leurs a permis d'avoir un jour extra de repos leur permettant d'avoir deux jours de repos par semaine.
Les negriers du temps de la traite negriere traitaient mieux leurs esclaves que les patrons d'hotels traitent leurs employes.
