TAMBACOUNDA : Des denrées alimentaires remises aux familles vulnérables
The prefect of Tambacounda, Alioune Badara Mbengue, received on Wednesday food supplies donated by the company Royale BTP, which is in charge of the construction of the University of Eastern Senegal, and intended for vulnerable families in the eastern region.
The donation, consisting of 50 tons of rice and the same amount of sugar, valued at 50 million CFA francs, was presented by the construction coordinator for the University of Eastern Senegal. “This gesture is a contribution from the Royal BTP company to alleviate the hardship faced by families in difficult circumstances. This action is part of the company's social initiatives,” emphasized Amadou Sékou Nimaga during the donation ceremony held at the food security offices.
The prefect praised the gesture, which he described as "of great social significance, reflecting solidarity and mutual support on the eve of the blessed month of Ramadan. This gesture will greatly comfort vulnerable families."
