Tambacounda : des policiers déguisés en taximen démantèlent un trafic de drogue dans un poulailler
On Friday, February 20, 2026, at 11:15 a.m., the elements of the Research Brigade of the Central Police Station of Tambacounda received information reporting an Indian hemp trafficking operation in the Sare Guilel district, hidden in a chicken coop according to Seneweb sources.
To intervene discreetly, the police officers traveled to the scene in a yellow and black taxi, thus blending into the surroundings.
After about an hour of observation, the suspects were surrounded and arrested. A search of the chicken coop led to the discovery of 34 packets of Indian hemp, carefully hidden in hay sacks.
Two individuals were arrested: DGS, 33, a poultry farmer, and BA, 45, a mason, both residents of the Sare Guilel neighborhood. During questioning, they admitted to owning the chicken coop and the seized drugs. DGS even spontaneously stated that there were 35 packets of drugs hidden under the hay sacks, a figure largely confirmed by the count carried out on site.
The two suspects have been taken into custody and will be brought before the prosecutor's office at the conclusion of the investigation. The investigation is ongoing to identify and apprehend their supplier.
