Thiadiaye : 2 présumés homosexuels filmaient leurs relations intimes

A disappearance case reported to the Thiadiaye Territorial Brigade has turned into an investigation into unnatural acts, resulting in the arrest of two men brought before the Mbour High Court this Thursday.

A missing person's report that arouses suspicion

On Sunday, August 24, 2025, R. Séne spontaneously presented himself at the premises of the Thiadiaye Territorial Brigade to report the disappearance of his little brother N. Séne, aged 18, who had been missing for almost a month.

In his statement to the brigade commander, he revealed his suspicions regarding the 36-year-old trader I. Niane, whom he accused of knowing the missing man's whereabouts due to their alleged intimate relationship. He went further, accusing the latter of engaging in unnatural acts with his younger brother.

Summons and first denials

Based on these statements, Chief Warrant Officer Pouye's men summoned the suspect I. Niane on August 25. During his hearing, the man categorically denied any unnatural act with N. Séne and declared that he did not know where the missing young man was.

Known to the police for having been involved in a similar case in the past, I. Niane was the subject of extensive investigations. A thorough search of his cell phone by investigators revealed a compromising video in which the man appears face uncovered in an intimate situation with another individual.

Confronted with this video during a new hearing, I. Niane retracted his initial statements and admitted to the unnatural acts. He confirmed to investigators that his partner in the video was indeed N. Séne, the missing young man, according to Seneweb sources close to the prosecution.

Coordinated arrests

Armed with this information, the gendarmes proceeded to arrest I. Niane on the instructions of the prosecutor of Mbour. The following day, N. Séne was located in Thiès where he was arrested thanks to the assistance of the Research Brigade of the railway capital.

Following their investigation, the two men were brought before the Mbour High Court on Thursday. They are being prosecuted for indecent acts and unnatural acts with an individual of the same sex, offenses provided for and punishable under the Senegalese penal code.
