Thiaroye : La BR de Saly arrête un homosexuel qui appâtait un élève coranique avec 100 000 FCFA
The Saly Research Brigade, under the jurisdiction of the Mbour gendarmerie company, brought before the court yesterday, Friday, Mr. Lo, suspected of being homosexual, for inciting indecent and unnatural acts. His arrest followed a report received by this elite unit on the Petite-Côte.
Living in Diamaguène Sicap-Mbao, this 26-year-old street vendor had tried to lure R. Ndao, a 19-year-old Koranic student who attends a Franco-Arabic school in Mbour, by offering him 100,000 FCFA to have sexual relations with him.
To that end, he had sent her pornographic videos via WhatsApp showing men committing unnatural acts.
On the night of April 5th to 6th, around midnight, he contacted him by phone to express his feelings. In the presence of a classmate who witnessed all the conversations, R. Ndao confided in his older brother, a Quranic teacher at their school. Given the seriousness of the situation, the brother immediately contacted the Saly police station in the presence of the victim.
The analysis of the Quranic student's phone revealed compromising videos sent by the accused.
On the instructions of investigators and after consultation with the public prosecutor at the Mbour High Court, R. Ndao set a trap for the suspect by arranging a meeting at the Thiaroye Gare middle school. Plainclothes gendarmes from the Saly brigade were immediately deployed to Thiaroye. Upon arrival, Mr. Lo was apprehended and taken to Mbour in an unmarked vehicle.
Under formal questioning, the suspect readily admitted to the acts, stating that he had obtained the victim's phone number via Facebook, according to Seneweb sources close to the prosecutor's office. Following the investigation, Mr. Lo was brought before the public prosecutor yesterday, Friday.
