Thiès : Me Abdoulaye Tine met le cap sur les JOJ après le succès du 4 avril
At the end of the parade marking the celebration of Senegal's Independence Day in Thiès, Mr. Abdoulaye Tine, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the State's Building Heritage Management Company (SOGEPA-SN), welcomed the success of the event.
"The celebration on April 4th was a great success," he said, expressing his thanks to President Bassirou Diomaye Faye and the local authorities of Thiès for the organization.
Looking ahead to the next deadlines, he called for a mobilization of energies around the 2026 Youth Olympic Games. According to him, this event constitutes a major step for Senegal, given that it is the first time that an African country has hosted an international competition of this scale.
Mr. Abdoulaye Tine also highlighted the expected economic benefits. He emphasized that the involvement of the defense and security forces in the organization and security will optimize resources while generating significant gains for the country.
Furthermore, he believes that this event will help to enhance Senegal's attractiveness on the international stage, particularly by boosting the tourism sector.
"The Youth Olympic Games will boost our economy," he stated, calling for collective mobilization to ensure the success of this global event.
