Thiès : Un berger agresse un cultivateur qui le filmait à son insu
Shepherd D. Ba is being tried this Monday by the Thiès court of first instance, for intentional assault and battery on farmer P. Dia, whom he accused of having filmed him with his flock without his knowledge.
On the day of the incident, P. Dia allegedly surprised the shepherd and his livestock in his field. To gather evidence for the local authorities, he filmed him. D. Dia was not pleased. The shepherd then assaulted him and confiscated his phone.
The farmer, armed with a medical certificate attesting to a 12-day period of incapacity for work, filed a complaint with the gendarmerie against D. Ba for CBV (Chemical, Biological, and Verbal Violence). D. Ba, in turn, filed a complaint against P. Dia for CBV, also with a supporting medical certificate.
In the dock of the Thiès court, shepherd D. Ba admitted to the acts, specifying that it was P. Dia who attacked him first. P. Dia contested this, claiming that D. Ba was accompanied by his brother who helped him beat him and confiscate his phone.
Considering the facts to be established, the public prosecutor requested a one-month prison sentence for both defendants. The judge found them guilty of reciprocal cybercrime and fined them 20,000 CFA francs.
