An individual named PA Thiam, who presented himself as a metal welder, and his nephew, P. Amar, were arrested this Wednesday in Tivaouane Peul for piracy. They were taken into custody on the orders of the public prosecutor.
The suspects were apprehended during an operation by the National Brigade for Combating Piracy and Counterfeiting (BNLPC). Amar was the first to be arrested, according to Libération, which broke the story. He was caught by police in one of the two rooms of the apartment used as the headquarters for the clandestine network, the newspaper reports.
Taken to the station, the same source continues, he implicated his uncle, identifying him as the owner of the facilities and limiting his role to that of custodian of the equipment and in charge of debt collection.
Libération reports that PA Thiam spontaneously presented himself at the BNLPC headquarters and admitted the facts, specifying that he has been engaged in his illicit activity since 2018. The search of the apartment, according to the daily newspaper, allowed the police to seize 77 decoders, 50 fiber optic receivers, 3 transmitters, 2 solar batteries, 1 Orange wi-fi modem, among other things.
Canal+, Bein Sports, Star Times, Star Trek, TNT Senegal are the victims of this dismantled clandestine network.

Ce sont ces genres de génies que la DER doit financer pour qu'ils créent leurs propres sociétés dans leurs domaines.
Si on lui donne les moins il peut créer des applications de manière légale et concurrencer Canal+ , Being et TNT.
Le succès de la Chine est basé sur la fraude, l'imitation,la contrefaçon et enfin la création. Maintenant ils ont conquis le monde.
Les occidentaux les prenaient pour des imitateurs, des adeptes de la contrefaçon. Mais aujourd'hui ils ont montré que l'on peut commencer par l'imitation pour créer de l'authentique.
