Touba : un homme tué par la chute d’un poteau électrique lors d’une intervention d’un sous-traitant de la SENELEC
A tragedy occurred this Friday, December 19th, at the Ockass market in Touba. The city's special police station was informed of a fatal accident that took place during electrical installation work.
Upon receiving the alert, police officers went to the scene to carry out the usual procedures. There, they identified the vehicle involved and its driver, named H. Thiané.
According to the statements of the latter, an employee of the company Global Ingénierie, a subcontractor of SENELEC, he was carrying out a maneuver from his vehicle as part of the installation of an electric pole.
During the operation, the pole became entangled with the cables already installed. While attempting to untangle it, the driver reportedly lost control of the structure, which then collapsed.
Unfortunately, the pole fell on a man who had just come out of a house, according to Seneweb sources. The victim, identified as 25-year-old A. Guèye, succumbed to his injuries. Firefighters, alerted immediately, could only confirm his death.
The body was taken to the morgue at the Matlaboul Fawzaïni Hospital Center in Touba. A request has been sent to a qualified expert to determine the precise cause of death.
An investigation has been opened by the police to shed full light on the exact circumstances of this tragic accident.

il n'aurait jamais imaginer en sortant de son domicile que la mort l'attendait juste la on ne sait jamais c'est ou et quand que l'on soit vieux ou jeune.
La senelec a l'obligation de choisir les entreprises suffisamment qualifiées et équipées pour travailler en toute sécurité. Que la victime repose en paix.
