Touba : la femme mariée reniée par son père devant le...
Married since 2025, N. Amar left the family home on April 9th without a word. Her father, M. Amar, in despair, posted numerous appeals on TikTok to find her. In reality, according to L'Observateur, which attended the hearing at the Diourbel High Court, the young woman had joined her ex-boyfriend, B. Diagne, to whom she reportedly confided that she no longer wanted her husband.
To conceal their relationship, he had introduced her to his employer as his own sister, even going so far as to find her a job as a domestic servant.
Rape allegations
Found in Touba three days later thanks to a tip-off, the young woman initially accused her ex-lover of sexual assault and attempted rape to justify her presence. Arrested by the Ndindy gendarmerie and subsequently charged with indecent assault, B. Diagne admitted to having sheltered his ex-girlfriend. While he acknowledged the existence of intimate acts, he firmly maintained in court that the young woman had fully consented.
The most striking moment of the hearing was the father's intervention. Deeply humiliated by his daughter's behavior and the revelations about her voluntary disappearance, he solemnly declared before the judge that he disowned her. Wounded in his honor, he demanded that the law be applied "in all its rigor" against both parties.
After deliberation, the Futurs Médias Group newspaper reports, the court acquitted B. Diagne due to reasonable doubt. Judge Saliou Mbengue nevertheless reprimanded the defendant for his behavior before advising the young woman to wait until her father's anger had subsided before offering him a sincere apology.
