Drug trafficking in Grand-Yoff: Five individuals arrested with 1.5 kg of Indian hemp

Trafic de drogue à Grand-Yoff : Cinq individus arrêtés avec 1,5 kg de chanvre indien

An operation led by the Research Brigade of the Grand-Yoff district police station led to the arrest of five individuals involved in an Indian hemp trafficking network. A quantity of drugs and a bladed weapon were seized on September 27, 2025.

The police operation took place between the Grand-Yoff 1 and Darou districts, following information about drug trafficking activities. Investigators first raided a home in Grand-Yoff 1, where three individuals were caught packaging Indian hemp.

The people arrested are: BM Ndao, 22 years old, mechanic, born in Touba and living in Arafat, B. Fall, 23 years old, upholsterer, born in Dakar and living in Medina, C. Guissé, 39 years old, technician, born in Dakar and living in HLM Pattes d'Oie, B. Sarr, 22 years old, carter, born in Dakar and living in Ben Tally and G. Diop, 20 years old, apprentice driver, born in 2005 and living in Grand Dakar according to Seneweb sources.

The search carried out in the room of the first three suspects revealed:

1.5 kilograms of Indian hemp, packaged in 125 gram packs and 7 cones ready to be sold on the market.

The operation then extended to the Darou district, where the other two suspects were arrested on a Jakarta-type motorcycle. They were in possession of a bladed weapon (knife).

The five individuals were taken into custody at the Grand-Yoff police station for possession and trafficking of Indian hemp and illegal carrying of bladed weapons.
