Trafique de drogue à Kédougou : Un ancien militaire arrêté par l'OCRTIS

On Tuesday morning, September 16, 2025, at around 6 a.m., elements of the Kédougou Regional Narcotics Brigade (BRS), under the coordination of OCRTIS, put an end to the activities of a suspected drug trafficker in the Gada Dinguessou neighborhood. The operation followed an anonymous tip reporting an individual engaging in Indian hemp trafficking in this locality. Investigators then set up a surveillance system.

After several hours of hiding during the night, they proceeded to arrest S. Camara, born in 1981, according to Seneweb sources.

A former soldier from the 2003/01 class, who became a gold prospector, the accused received his clients directly at his home, according to the conclusions of the investigations.

During his arrest, the police seized 500g of Indian hemp, a pair of scissors and a knife used to package the drug, as well as 50,000 CFA francs. All the material was confiscated for the purposes of the investigation.

The suspect was taken into custody for possession and trafficking of Indian hemp. The investigation is ongoing to determine the extent of his activities and identify any potential accomplices.
