Trafic de drogue : le film de la chute de deux chauffeurs dealers
Two individuals, both claiming to be drivers, were arrested Thursday evening in Dakar by the Regional Narcotics Brigade (BRS) for trafficking kush at the stop commonly known as "Lobou Gaz".
The suspects, I. Diagne (resident of Ngamé Issa) and Ch. T. Diallo (resident of Yeumbeul Comico), are being prosecuted for criminal conspiracy and possession of narcotics, reports Libération.
The newspaper reports that their arrest followed intelligence reporting the two men's active trafficking of kush. According to information gathered by the same source, they primarily targeted drivers, bus apprentices, and other frequent users of this stop located along the national road.
A surveillance and tracking system set up by the BRS confirmed the suspects' illicit activities. Diagne was arrested at the "Lobou Gaz" station, in possession of two bags of kush, worth 7,000 and 4,000 CFA francs respectively, as well as 6,000 in cash.
Diallo was arrested at the same stop, in possession of six bags and 19 kepas of kush, a Samsung mobile phone, and 7,500 CFA francs in cash.
In total, law enforcement seized eight bags and 19 kepas of kush. When questioned about the source of the drugs, the two men gave explanations that investigators deemed implausible.
