Trafic d'ecstasy et de crack entre Dakar et Touba : six suspects arrêtés par la police de Mbacké

During the night of May 20-21, 2026, the Mbacké urban police station's investigation unit dismantled a drug trafficking network operating between Touba and Dakar. Six individuals, all residents of Touba, were arrested and taken into custody, including a 5th-grade student.

It all started with a vigilant taxi driver! Around 10 p.m. on the night of May 20, 2026, the head of the investigation unit received a phone call from a driver for the "Allo Dakar" platform, parked at the Mbacké roundabout. The driver explained that a stranger had just given him a package resembling a motorcycle part, to be delivered to Dakar for 5,000 FCFA.

Intrigued by the amount, which was significantly higher than the usual 1,500 to 2,000 FCFA for this type of delivery, the driver opened the package. Inside, he discovered narcotics. He immediately photographed and filmed the contents, sent the evidence to a police officer who confirmed the nature of the drugs, and then contacted officers at the Mbacké urban police station.

Alerted to the situation, investigators immediately used the phone number of the individual who had left the package with the driver. They traced it back to Mr. Thiam, 17 years old, a scrap metal dealer, residing in the Darou Minane neighborhood of Touba. He had been sent by the package's owner to collect it from the driver.

Arrested in Touba, Mb. Thiam cooperated without resistance and provided all the information in his possession. He led the brigade officers to the home of the package's owner: BC Diagne, 17 years old, a shopkeeper in the Keur Niang neighborhood. During a search of his room, investigators discovered three crack cocaine rocks, a woofer speaker concealing bags contaminated with narcotics, and 63,000 FCFA, representing the proceeds from the sale.

Two other individuals present in the room were also arrested: M.Guèye, 21 years old, plasterer (Touba Mbal district) and F.Dieng, 20 years old, Jakarta motorcycle driver (Keur Niang district).

When confronted, Mr. Thiam, F. Dieng and Mr. Guèye acknowledge that the package and the crack rocks belong to BCDiagne, who tries to deny the facts without convincing anyone.

The mastermind of the network unmasked

Under formal questioning, BC Diagne eventually implicated the true mastermind of the trafficking operation: Mr. Diop, 23, a merchant residing in the Darou Miname neighborhood of Touba, who was known to the police for similar offenses. With BC Diagne's cooperation, investigators set a trap for Mr. Diop and arrested him. According to Seneweb sources, an examination of his phone's photo and video gallery revealed a quantity of drugs identical to that concealed in the package.

The investigation continues around Mr. Diop's bicycle, parked at the Khaïra roundabout, which he used to hide several Volet tablets.

At the scene, police learned that a friend of the suspect, alerted to his arrest, had fled with the bicycle. This was SMNdiaye, 16 years old, a 5th-grade student at the Palène Pedagogical School, residing in Touba Khaïra. Found shortly afterward at his home, where he had already hidden the bicycle, he was also arrested.

The first five are being prosecuted for conspiracy and offering or supplying narcotics, including 85 ecstasy tablets (part of the case) and three rocks of crack cocaine. SM Ndiaye is being prosecuted for complicity in the same offenses.
