Train de vie exorbitant de l'État : L’imam Tafsir Babacar Ndiour évoque la reddition des comptes et réclame un audit
On the occasion of the Tabaski prayer in Thiès, Tafsir Babacar Ndiour, imam ratib of the great mosque of Moussanté, which was the point of convergence of many Muslim faithful, spoke at length about current national life: justice, acts of corruption, the relentless pursuit of profit, a supposed institutional crisis at the head of the State and the difficult daily life of Senegalese people, among other subjects.
The religious leader believes that today "it is urgent to audit the state's spending." He also asks: "How many special advisors do we have? How much do they cost us in terms of salary?"
He believes that "accountability is paramount, particularly for the current regime, for those entering and leaving office. The OFNAC and the Court of Auditors must audit the exorbitant lifestyle of the State."
Imam Ndour, referring to the latest decisions from the National Assembly, believes that "the assembly must be made up of men and women capable of representing the aspirations of the people and not just one person. We are representatives of the people and not of a party or a man."
Indeed, he continued, "we must not trifle with our institutions, because when we do not have strong institutions, we cannot succeed in any project."
