Viol collectif à Koumpentoum : après l’homme aux dreadlocks, deux ados arrêtés
The investigation into the gang rape with death threats committed against Kh. Diop in the village of Massembé (Koumpentoum department) is progressing. After the teenager with dreadlocks, the local gendarmerie brigade arrested two other 15-year-old boys, bringing the total number of arrests to three.
The events date back to Thursday, November 6, as reported by L'Observateur, which broke the story. While the victim was harvesting peanuts, three individuals pretended to offer them to her before one of them pulled out a knife and threatened her. The victim was then assaulted and raped by the attackers, who subsequently fled.
Formally identified by the victim, the gang leader, a seasonal worker with dreadlocks, was arrested first. Continuing their investigation, the police apprehended Mr. Sow. Upon seeing him, the victim nearly fainted and identified him as one of the attackers, stating that he was the one who had beaten her.
Mr. Sow denied the allegations but pointed the finger at one of his friends, S. Dème, as being involved. The police summoned Dème, who, in turn, denied the accusations, even though he was formally identified by the victim.
Mr. Sow and S. Dème have been taken into custody, concludes the newspaper of the Future Media Group.
