Wakhinane Nimzath : deux fillettes portées disparues, cinq individus interpellés dans la chambre de leur ravisseur présumé
On May 6, 2026, C. Faye, 39, residing in Guédiawaye, filed a complaint at the Wakhinane Nimzath police station regarding the disappearance of her two nieces, A. Ba, 14, and M. Diene, 13. The two minors had left their family home on May 3, 2026, to go to Yeumbeul Asecna to have their hair braided.
Since then, the family had received no news despite the searches undertaken, according to Seneweb sources.
In the afternoon, the complainant was informed that the two girls were being held at a house in the Khelcom market by a man named Baye Zal. Upon arriving at the location, she met his mother, N. Sow, who told her that she herself had chased the two girls from the house that morning when they had come to visit her son. Doubting this account, C. Faye filed a complaint at the police station.
A raid carried out by members of the research brigade failed to apprehend Baye Zal, who was nowhere to be found at the time of the events.
However, five individuals present in his room were taken to the station for questioning. They are CO Ba, 16 years old, a mason, residing in Wakhinane; A. Seck, 20 years old, a student, residing in Wakhinane; D. Diaw, 15 years old, a tailor, residing in Wakhinane; MI Cissé, 16 years old, a student, residing in Wakhinane; and BM Ngom, 19 years old, a student, residing in Wakhinane.
Prosecutor Saliou Dicko has been informed. Baye Zal is actively being sought and the investigation is ongoing.
