A sexual assault case that struck a family in Yarakh has shocked the entire neighborhood. A 13-year-old fourth-grade student was raped in broad daylight, a heinous crime that led to the arrest of a 47-year-old man.

According to the moving testimony of B. Diallo, the victim's father, his daughter returned to the family home that day in a state of absolute distress.

Young A. Diallo, in tears, showed traces of blood on her clothes and in her private parts. Faced with this heartbreaking scene, her parents immediately tried to understand what had happened.

Questioned by her relatives, the girl did not hesitate to identify her attacker. She named Mr. Guèye, a 47-year-old salesman married to two wives. According to the accusations against him, this man allegedly abused the girl's innocence to satisfy his urges.

Faced with the urgency of the situation, the parents took their daughter to the Marist health center. There, the on-call doctor recommended they first go to the police station to obtain a medical requisition, an essential document before any in-depth gynecological examination.

Arriving at the Hann Territorial Gendarmerie Brigade, the victim was questioned in the presence of her mother. With tears in her eyes, she recounted the circumstances of the rape to investigators. On her way back from the fishing pier market, she encountered the suspect in front of her home. He asked her to go buy him some bread.

A Premeditated Ambush

Upon returning from the race, Mr. Guèye allegedly entered a bedroom first, anticipating that the girl would follow him. Once inside, the man allegedly lured the girl and, according to her statements, immediately threw her onto a bed before committing the sexual assault.

Following the hearing and the gathering of initial evidence, a request was made for a qualified person to conduct a medical examination of the victim. The medical certificate subsequently issued formally confirmed that sexual abuse had been perpetrated on the minor, according to Seneweb sources close to the Public Prosecutor's Office.

Armed with this irrefutable evidence, the police immediately went to the suspect's home to arrest him. Throughout the proceedings, Mr. Guèye maintained his denials.

However, in view of the incriminating evidence gathered during the investigation, he was brought before the Dakar High Court to answer for the crime of rape of a minor.
