Yeumbeul : Après le décès de sa mère, une fille de 12 ans violée par le petit frère de son père
The Yeumbeul-Comico district police station, under the command of Commissioner Ousmane Diop, referred street vendor S. Baldé to the Pikine-Guédiawaye prosecutor's office last week for repeated rapes of a minor committed by a person in authority over the victim, according to Seneweb sources.
The case came to light on December 28, 2025, around 2 p.m., when tailor B. Sow arrived at the Comico police station accompanied by 12-year-old R. Baldé. The tailor explained to the officers that the minor had been entrusted to him by street vendor S. Baldé nearly a month earlier to receive sewing training in his workshop.
Having noticed a disturbing change in the teenager's behavior, B. Sow sought to understand the reasons behind it. It was then that the young girl revealed the ordeal she was enduring. Faced with these unbearable confessions, the tailor immediately decided to take legal action.
An orphan girl entrusted to her paternal uncle
According to the minor's statements, her nightmare began after her mother's death. Her father then entrusted her to his younger brother, S. Baldé, who was supposed to look after her and ensure her protection as her paternal uncle.
But instead of playing his role as a guardian, the man took advantage of the authority conferred by his position to sexually abuse the teenager on several occasions during December 2025.
The reported acts constitute repeated rapes of a minor, aggravated by the fact that they were committed by a person in a position of authority over the victim.
After her hearing at the police station, the young girl was taken to the hospital on a gynecological requisition for the medical examinations necessary for the procedure.
Damning confessions
Summoned to the police station, S. Baldé admitted to the charges against him. To try and justify his actions, he cited marital problems with his wife, explaining that he no longer slept in their bed but instead slept on the floor next to his son and the minor girl. It was in this situation that he took advantage of his wife's sleep to assault the vulnerable teenager in his care.
At the end of the investigation, S. Baldé was presented to prosecutor Saliou Dicko, head of the Pikine-Guédiawaye prosecutor's office.
