Yeumbeul Sud : Un artiste arrêté par la police pour trafic de chanvre indien

The Yeumbeul South police station has scored yet another blow in the fight against drug trafficking. On Wednesday, September 17, 2025, at around 5:30 p.m., members of the Research Brigade arrested two individuals in the Boune neighborhood, caught in possession of Indian hemp.

The accused are identified as follows:

A.Diop, born in 1992, presenting himself as an artist and employee of the company NMA, residing in Keur Massar and S. Bitéye, born in 2003, electromechanic residing in Boune.

During their arrest, the police seized a bag containing 165 grams of Indian hemp packaged in a plastic bag, according to Seneweb sources. In addition to the drugs, a sum of money was found on A. Diop, money suspected of coming from the sale of the prohibited product.

Following their summary hearing, the two suspects were taken into custody. The Public Prosecutor has been notified and the investigation is ongoing.
