Coupe du monde 2026 : Alexander Sørloth explique comment la taille pourrait avantager la Norvège
Norway, Senegal's second opponent in Group I of the 2026 World Cup, has a significant advantage: its size. Alexander Sørloth's teammates are indeed the most physically imposing team in the tournament.
With players like Erling Haaland (1.95 m), Alexander Sørloth (1.95 m), Sander Berge (1.95 m), and Kristoffer Ajer (1.98 m), the Scandinavians intend to fully exploit their aerial superiority, particularly on set pieces. The Atlético Madrid striker, for his part, makes no secret of his satisfaction in this regard.
“I think it’s an advantage. It always makes me laugh when I go back to Atlético after an international break and people compare the team photos. In most national teams, there’s usually the goalkeeper and maybe a center-back who are around two meters tall. We have six,” he explained. Sørloth believes, however, that this physical strength will only be useful if it’s properly utilized.
“I hope this will surprise our opponents. But obviously we need to know how to take advantage of it. We need quality crosses and good set pieces. If we can do that, we should be able to score a lot of goals,” added the Norwegian international.
A warning that the Lions of Senegal will have to take into account before their confrontation against the Norwegians.
