Coupe du monde 2026 : l’Algérie avec Mahrez, sans Bounedjah ni Kebbal
Algeria's coach, Vladimir Petkovic, officially announced on Sunday the list of 26 players selected to compete in the 2026 World Cup. Several strong choices mark this selection, notably the absences of Ismaël Bennacer, Himad Abdelli, Baghdad Bounedjah and Ilan Kebbal, who are not included in the group selected by the Bosnian coach.
Among the players called up, several from French Ligue 1 will represent the Fennecs. These include Samir Chergui of Paris FC, Aïssa Mandi and Nabil Bentaleb of LOSC Lille, Hicham Boudaoui of OGC Nice, and Amine Gouiri of Olympique de Marseille. The team's key player, Riyad Mahrez, will also be making the trip.
The Greens are now entering the final stretch of their preparation before their entry into the 2026 World Cup, with the ambition of making a remarkable run on the international stage.
