Egypt's coach, Hossam Hassan, published the list of players selected for the 2026 World Cup on Wednesday evening. As expected, captain Mohamed Salah is among the players called up to participate in his second World Cup finals after 2018.

 

The Pharaohs will also be able to count on Manchester City striker Omar Marmoush. However, FC Nantes striker Mostafa Mohamed is not part of the selected squad.

 

OGC Nice defender Mohamed Abdelmonem is included in the squad, as is young talent Hamza Abdel Karim. The 18-year-old striker currently plays for FC Barcelona's reserve team and could make his international debut with the Pharaohs. Egypt is in Group G alongside Belgium, Iran, and New Zealand.
