Coupe du monde 2026 : La FIFA dévoile le ballon officiel « Trionda »
On October 2, 2025, in New York, the International Federation of Association Football (FIFA) unveiled "Trionda," the official match ball for the 2026 World Cup, which will be held in the United States, Mexico, and Canada. Its design, in red, green, and blue, pays tribute to the three host countries, symbolized by a maple leaf (Canada), an eagle (Mexico), and a star (United States).
On a technical level, the ball incorporates deep seams for greater stability, a relief to improve grip and an electronic chip that transmits data in real time to the VAR system, particularly for offsides.
For FIFA President Gianni Infantino, "Trionda" embodies the unity and passion of the host countries. This edition, the first to feature 48 teams, will see its group draw held on December 5, 2025, in Washington.
