Coupe du monde 2026 : adversaire du Sénégal, l’Irak dévoile sa liste des 26 joueurs

Having qualified for their second World Cup, Iraq has unveiled its 26-man squad for the 2026 World Cup. The Lions of Mesopotamia will face Norway, France and Senegal in the group stage.

Just days before the start of the 2026 World Cup, Iraq has officially announced its 26-man squad for the final tournament, scheduled from June 11 to July 19 in the United States, Mexico, and Canada. The Lions of Mesopotamia will compete in the same group as France, Senegal, and Norway.

The last nation to secure its place at the World Cup, Iraq is participating in its second World Cup after its first appearance in 1986. Jesús Casas' men had secured their qualification by defeating Bolivia in the intercontinental play-off.

For this 2026 edition, the Lions of Mesopotamia will face a tough challenge in a challenging group. They will begin their campaign against Norway before taking on France in the second round. Their third and final group match will pit them against Senegal, in a game that could prove decisive for qualification to the second round.
