25 heures de nage non-stop : Le Marocain Ichem Zaher réalise un nouveau record à Dakar
The Franco-Moroccan, the first African to complete the Enduroman, has achieved a new charitable feat off the coast of Senegal. Last Saturday, he swam for 25 hours and 38 minutes non-stop, without a wetsuit, between Dakar and Gorée Island, in particularly harsh conditions. An ultra-endurance challenge, but above all an act of solidarity for the benefit of the Mécénat Chirurgie Cardiaque association.
Setting out from the Dakar lagoon at noon on September 27, Ichem ZAHER braved waves, strong currents, and exhaustion. The mission was made even more difficult by the abandonment of four of the six kayakers, overcome by seasickness. But thanks to a dedicated safety team, including a support boat on constant standby, the athlete managed to complete his challenge.
His 12-year-old son joined him in the water to swim the final 4 kilometers alongside him. Together, they reached Gorée Island. Adam thus became the youngest French-Moroccan to successfully complete the crossing, etching his name alongside his father in the annals of open water swimming. "Swimming alongside my son, to save other children, gives this challenge an even more powerful dimension," Ichem Zaher said at the finish.
With more than 20 marathons around the world, a dozen Ironmans, three Marathon des Sables (Morocco and Peru), and above all the Enduroman, an extreme triathlon linking London to Paris: 135 km of running, 48 km of swimming across the English Channel, and 300 km of cycling to his credit, Ichem Zaher puts his exploits to the service of others. A loyal supporter of Mécénat Chirurgie Cardiaque, he has already raised more than €8,000 to finance vital operations for children with heart disease.
"I'm not looking for records for the sake of glory. My only goal is to turn effort into hope," insists the man who is already preparing for his next challenge: a world record in open water swimming.

Terrible manque de Com pour l'édition de la Natation Dakar-Gorée 2025 au niveau des médias sénégalais, en premier la RTS. Il faut aller sur.... France 24 pour voir le joli Focus sur cette course encore gagné par le champion de l'année dernière. Très belle fête non relayée par aucun média sénégalais. Que des détails au quotidien.

Heureusement qu'il n'y a pas de requins ni de baracudah dans nos eaux.. 25 h dans l'eau salée sous ce soleil, ca doit aussi faite de l'effet sur la peau!
En tout cas bravo d'avoir realiser cet exploit et merci de l'avoir fait pour la cause !
C'est un sportif c'est comme les artistes ils ne suivent pas le troupeau. Cela se voit physiquement rien à voir les schizos charmeurs de serpent
On voit un sportif qui vit transmet sa passion du sport à son fils. C'est des bonnes valeurs, ils ont l'air sympatiques
