CAN 2025 : le compte à rebours lancé, les pré-listes élargies envoyées
This Friday marked a key milestone in the lead-up to the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON), scheduled to take place from December 21, 2025, to January 18, 2026. According to Le Quotidien, November 21 was the deadline set by CAF for submitting an initial, extended list of 55 players. However, federations are not required to make this preliminary list public.
The next crucial step is set for December 11: each team must submit its final list of 23 players ten days before kick-off, in accordance with Chapter 30 of Article 72 of the CAF regulations. Any delay exceeding seven days before the start of the competition will result in an automatic reduction of the squad to 21 players.
After this date, no changes will be permitted, except in duly recognized cases of force majeure, such as a serious injury to a player.
Some teams, such as Vladimir Petkovic's Algeria, have opted for intermediate lists of 28 players in order to gradually prepare their final group, the same source points out.

La liste sera de 27 ou 28 joueurs, pas de 23 joueurs. Celle de la Coupe du Monde pourrait etre de 30.
