With five days to go before the start of the Africa Cup of Nations, the national teams are continuing their final preparations. On Tuesday, Egypt faced Nigeria in a friendly match, which the Pharaohs won.

In this clash between two AFCON favorites, Egypt, without Mohamed Salah, put on an impressive display. Hossam Hassan's men opened the scoring through Mohamed Saber in the 28th minute. But in first-half stoppage time, FC Nantes defender Chidozie Awaziem leveled the score for the Super Eagles (45+3).

Upon returning from the locker room, the Egyptians were more incisive and regained the lead through Moustapha Mohamed, who scored the winning goal in the 53rd minute.

Egypt concludes its preparation on a positive note before its entry into the AFCON-2025, scheduled for December 22 against Zimbabwe.

L'équipe d'Egyote est l'une des meilleures du continent. Il n'y a que le Sénégal pour les vaincre. Dans les 10 voire 15 prochaines années, les enfants égyptiens se souviendront encore et encore de l'équipe du Sénégal !
