Ligue des champions d’Afrique : les affiches des quarts de finale dévoilées
The draw for the quarter-finals of the 2025/26 Total Energies CAF Champions League took place this Tuesday in Cairo, under the auspices of the Confederation of African Football. The result: some exciting clashes and a clearly defined path to the final for the eight remaining contenders.
The most anticipated duel will pit Egypt's Al Ahly, holders of a record twelve continental titles, against Tunisia's Espérance Sportive de Tunis. This all-North African quarter-final promises maximum intensity. The first leg will be played in Tunis, before a thrilling return leg in Cairo.
Another prestigious match: the reigning champions, Pyramids FC of Egypt, begin their campaign away against AS FAR of Morocco. A clash between two major African clubs.
Having been runners-up in the previous edition, South Africa's Mamelodi Sundowns will first host Stade Malien, while Morocco's RS Berkane, with their Senegalese striker Paul Valère Bassene, will host Sudan's Al Hilal for the first leg of their quarter-final tie.
The quarter-finals will be played from March 13 to 15 for the first leg matches, then from March 20 to 22 for the second leg matches.
The draw for the semi-finals was also made. The winner of the Espérance/Al Ahly tie will host the winner of Mamelodi Sundowns/Stade Malien in the first leg. In the other bracket, the winner of the AS FAR/Pyramids FC match will host the winner of RS Berchoc/Al Hilal in the first leg.
The semi-finals are scheduled for April 10-12 (first leg) and April 17-19 (second leg). The final will be played over two legs: first leg on May 15, second leg on May 24, with the team from the first semi-final hosting the first leg.
