Al-Hilal : bonne nouvelle pour Kalidou Koulibaly
Excellent news for Al-Hilal and for the fans of the Lions of Teranga. Like his compatriot Édouard Mendy, Kalidou Koulibaly has chosen to continue his adventure in Saudi Arabia. With his contract expiring in June 2026, the Senegalese central defender has extended his stay with the Riyadh club for another season. He is now tied to Al-Hilal until June 2027.
An iconic captain of the Senegalese national team, Koulibaly has established himself as one of the key players in the Saudi club's squad since his arrival. His consistent performances and leadership have largely contributed to the club's numerous successes in recent seasons.
In a statement published on its official website, Al-Hilal heaped praise on its defender. "Koulibaly has delivered outstanding performances for the team, contributing alongside his teammates to five titles: the King's Cup, the Saudi Pro League, two Saudi Super Cups, and the Riyadh Season Cup. He also played a key role in Al-Hilal's participation in the 2025 FIFA Club World Cup, where the team reached the quarterfinals," the club emphasized.
Announced several weeks ago, this contract extension confirms the mutual trust between the Senegalese international and Al-Hilal. At 34, Kalidou Koulibaly continues to embody the defensive solidity and ambition of a club resolutely focused on reaching the top, both domestically and internationally.
