Anderlecht : Moussa Ndiaye file en Allemagne
Young Senegalese defender Moussa Ndiaye has left Anderlecht on loan to join Schalke 04. The 23-year-old international left-back has joined the German club on loan until the end of the season, without an option to buy. This arrangement allows Anderlecht to retain control over the player's future.
In a statement, the Brussels club confirmed the deal: "Schalke 04 has secured the loan of Moussa Ndiaye until the end of the season, without an option to buy." The player will wear the number 4 jersey for his new club in Bundesliga 2.
Trained at the Aspire Academy in Dakar, Moussa Ndiaye joined Anderlecht in the summer of 2022 from FC Barcelona. Initially integrated into the RSCA Futures team, he gradually earned playing time with the first team thanks to his performances and defensive versatility.
However, his time at Lotto Park was hampered by several coaching changes, Brian Riemer, David Hubert and then Besnik Hasi, as well as by repeated injuries, which slowed his progress and limited his continuity.
This loan to Germany therefore represents an opportunity for Moussa Ndiaye to regain rhythm and confidence in a demanding league.
With major international events just months away, the Senegalese defender hopes to revive his career and score points in preparation for the World Cup.
