Annoncé mort : Éric Abidal réagit et demande que…
In recent hours, rumors circulating on social media announced the death of former French international Eric Abidal, allegedly "from complications related to his second liver transplant and after a long battle with cancer," reported Gazeta Express.
However, this information turned out to be completely false, without foundation or reliable source, and was quickly denied by Abidal himself.
Through a story published on his Instagram account, the former FC Barcelona defender wanted to reassure his many years and his loved ones:
“Some voices should never exist. I am here, with my family, and everything is fine. Respect is essential: my family and my children are here. Let’s be clear: I am fine, I am alive and well. Thank you for your support and your messages of concern. Let’s focus on what really matters and is worth it,” wrote Éric Abidal.
His remarks put an end to the speculation that had quickly spread among football fans.
The former international, who has suffered serious health problems in the past, has become a symbol of resilience and courage for many. In his message, Eric Abidal called for "the avoidance of the spread of false news and unconfirmed information."
