Bambadji : Un adolescent meurt en plein match de football
Tragedy struck the town of Bambadji, in the Saraya department, on Monday, December 1st, during a friendly match held on the Linguéya field. The match, which pitted young players from the commune of Bembou against each other, turned into a tragedy.
According to eyewitness accounts, Karounga Cissokho, approximately 15 years old, was actively participating in the game when he suddenly collapsed. During a corner kick, after controlling the ball and making a pass, the young player dropped to his knees without any apparent contact or impact. Moments later, he stopped responding to his teammates' calls.
Shock and disbelief immediately gripped the field. His teammates and the many young people who had come to watch the match were stunned by the suddenness of the incident. The news plunged the community into deep sorrow.
The teenager's body was transferred to the morgue at the Amath Dansokho Regional Hospital in Kédougou for the necessary examinations to determine the causes of his death.
Karounga's family, his comrades and the entire commune of Bembou remain in shock, mourning the loss of a young football enthusiast known for his vitality and sporting commitment.
