Basket-Éliminatoires mondial 2027 : Les Lions affûtent leurs systèmes avant le choc face à la Côte d’Ivoire
On the eve of a crucial match on the road to the 2027 World Cup, the Lions of Senegal are fine-tuning their teamwork. 11 of the 12 players called up were present at the Marius Ndiaye Stadium yesterday.
The squad will be at full strength on Friday with the arrival of Branco Badio. However, the point guard will miss the match against Ivory Coast, scheduled for Thursday at 9 p.m., an important game in these 2027 World Cup qualifiers.
The Lions began practicing the strategies implemented by their coach. The focus was on rehearsing offensive and defensive systems. Ball movement, positioning, defensive transitions, and man-marking were all on the agenda. Desagana Diop's men ran through numerous intense and skillful sequences to refine their automatic movements and strengthen team cohesion ahead of the upcoming match.
The Lions will hold a final closed-door session this Wednesday at 6 p.m. at the Marius Ndiaye Stadium to make the final adjustments.
