Dani Carvajal en colère après l'expulsion de Camavinga — Bayern Munich vs Real Madrid, Ligue des Champions
Real Madrid's Champions League journey has come to an end. The Madrid club was defeated yesterday, Wednesday, by Bayern Munich (4-3) at the Allianz Arena. The aggregate score across the two-legged quarter-final tie stands at 6-4 in favor of the Bavarians.
Vincent Kompany's side will therefore advance to the competition's semi-finals this year. They might have had a tougher time if Eduardo Camavinga had not received a red card late in the match.
Indeed, before the Frenchman was shown that red for a professional foul, Real Madrid was leading 3-2 on the night and still had their qualification hopes very much alive.
Unfortunately, Camavinga's sending-off triggered a collapse for Real and the intense fury of Dani Carvajal.
"It's your fault, it's your fucking fault," the Spanish right-back screamed at match official Slavko Vincic.
It should be noted that Camavinga, who came on as a substitute in the 61st minute, received his first yellow card in the 78th for a heavy foul on Jamal Musiala. Eight minutes later, he committed another foul on Harry Kane and then deliberately held onto the ball, which Joshua Kimmich was trying to retrieve, before throwing it away from the Bayern midfielder.
Irritated, the referee showed him a second yellow card, resulting in his dismissal. Real Madrid players deemed the second yellow very harsh, which explains their anger toward the referee.
