Finale Coupe CAF : Aimé Tendeng et l’USMA remportent le trophée
Aimé Tendeng and USM Alger have won the African Confederation Cup. Winners of the first leg (1-0), the Union Sportive de la Médina d'Alger, managed by Senegalese coach Lamine Ndiaye, secured the trophy after a penalty shootout against Zamalek (8-7).
However, the Egyptians quickly leveled the score, opening the scoring in the 4th minute with a penalty converted by Palestinian international Oday Dabbagh. Despite their clear dominance, Zamalek were unable to extend their lead.
At the end of 90 minutes, the two teams were tied on aggregate (1-1). A penalty shootout was therefore necessary to determine the winner. More clinical, the Algerians of USMA prevailed 8-7.
Having already won the title in 2023, USMA, led by Lamine Ndiaye and Aimé Tendeng, thus wins the CAF Cup for the second time in its history.
