CAN-2025: Hakimi a repris la course au centre d'entraĂźnement du PSG
Moroccan defender Achraf Hakimi, who hopes to be able to play in the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (December 21-January 18), has resumed running at PSG's training center, without apparent discomfort, a month after his serious ankle sprain, according to images released by his club.
These images, which date from Thursday, show the best African player of the year running on the sidelines of the Parisian group, a development described as "good news" on Friday in a press conference by the PSG coach, Luis Enrique.
"We are waiting for him to recover, but then there will be the AFCON, normally he will return with his national team, and not with the team," continued the Spanish coach.
The captain of the Atlas Lions is in a race against time to play in the AFCON at home, a major objective of his season, since he was the victim of an uncontrolled tackle by Bayern Munich player Luis Diaz in the Champions League on November 4.
Suffering from a severe sprain, he wore a boot on his left foot when he received his trophy for best African player on November 19 in Rabat, and his recovery is keeping the kingdom on tenterhooks, 15 days before the event.
Morocco, considered the favorite, will begin the competition on December 21 against Comoros, before facing Mali five days later and then Zambia on December 29. All three matches will take place in Rabat.
