AS Monaco has announced good news for Krépin Diatta. The Senegalese international is now on the roster for the Champions League group stage. An unexpected opportunity made possible by a temporary replacement.
Forced out during this summer transfer window, Diatta, who was left off the European list, is taking advantage of the injury to Denis Zakaria, unavailable until November 26, to join the Monaco squad in C1.
Thanks to new UEFA regulations, clubs can now make temporary replacements in the event of a player's prolonged injury, allowing the Senegalese player to participate in the competition until the Swiss player's return, expected for the 5th matchday against Pafos FC.
