Ligue des champions : le PSG renverse Monaco, le Real s’impose au Portugal
The Champions League playoffs kicked off on Tuesday with some spectacular matches. The clash between Senegalese sides went in favor of Paris Saint-Germain, who won 3-2 away at AS Monaco.
However, Monaco, with Lamine Camara in the starting lineup and Krépin Diatta coming on as a substitute, had made an ideal start to the match. They quickly took a 2-0 lead thanks to a brace from Folarin Balogun (1st and 18th minutes). PSG could have pulled one back earlier, but Vitinha missed a penalty in the 22nd minute.
Paris Saint-Germain's response came before halftime. Désiré Doué first reduced the deficit (29th minute), before Achraf Hakimi equalized just before the break (41st minute). In the second half, the Parisians, with Ibrahim Mbaye remaining on the bench, completely turned the game around thanks to another goal from Désiré Doué (67th minute).
Thanks to this victory at the Stade Louis-II, PSG has taken a serious option ahead of the return match.
In other matches that evening, Real Madrid defeated SL Benfica in Portugal (1-0). Meanwhile, Borussia Dortmund dominated Atalanta Bergamo (2-0), thanks to a superb performance from Guinean striker Serhou Guirassy, who scored and provided an assist.
