Having knocked out Manchester City in the group stage and eliminated Inter Milan in the playoffs, Bodø/Glimt's great adventure in the Champions League comes to an end in the round of 16.

The Norwegians, who had won the first leg (3-0), were overturned by the Portuguese of Sporting CP (5-0).

Sporting opened the scoring in the 34th minute through Gonçalo Inácio. The Lisbon side then pulled level with goals from Pedro Gonçalves (61st minute) and Luis Suárez (78th minute, penalty).

In the first minute of extra time, Araujo scored Sporting's fourth goal (91st minute), securing their qualification. In the dying seconds, Rafael Neil completed the Portuguese side's resounding 5-0 victory with panache.

With this resounding success, Sporting shatters Bodø/Glimt's dream and qualifies for the quarter-finals.
