CHAN 2024 : Le Sénégal remporte la médaille de bronze
Senegal ended the CHAN on a high note. Souleymane Diallo's men secured third place by beating Sudan (1-1, 4-2 on penalties).
However, the home Lions started the match very poorly, conceding the opening goal in the 6th minute from a goal by Teya. Despite clear Senegalese domination, Sudan went into the locker room with a one-goal advantage.
In the second half, the Lions came back into the game thanks to Seyni Mbaye Ndiaye. The future Celta Vigo central defender headed in a magnificent cross from Libasse Gueye to beat the Sudanese goalkeeper (58th).
In the final half hour, despite intense pressure from Senegal, the score remained unchanged (1-1). A penalty shootout was needed to separate the two teams. In this exercise, the Senegalese proved more skillful, scoring four shots against only two for the Sudanese.
With this victory, Senegal takes the bronze medal and leaves East Africa on a high note.

Enfin les Pénalités réussies. Les Soudanais en guerre étaient donnés favoris en mental. Bravo les Lions juniors !
