CHAN-2024 : L’Ouganda étrille la Guinée
After being beaten 3-0 by Algeria on the opening day, Uganda bounced back well this Friday. The Cranes largely dominated Guinea, winning with authority.
With their backs against the wall, Uganda started the match against Syli National perfectly. After half an hour of play, Reagan Mpande opened the scoring with a fine header.
In the second half, the Ugandans, spurred on by their home crowd, continued to put pressure on the Guinean defense. On the hour mark, Allan Okello earned a penalty, which he converted with great composure (62nd minute).
The Guineans, completely overwhelmed, conceded a third goal from Ivan Ahimbisibwe in the 89th minute.
Thanks to this fine victory, Uganda is back on track after its opening defeat against Algeria.
