Classico : le Real Madrid dompte le Barça dans un match électrique
Real Madrid won the 298th edition of El Clasico against FC Barcelona (2-1) this Saturday at the Santiago Bernabéu stadium, after an intense and tense encounter. This victory ends the Madrid club's run of four consecutive defeats against their eternal Catalan rivals.
As always, this Spanish football clash lived up to expectations. From the very start, Xabi Alonzo's men took control of the game, led by an ever-present Jude Bellingham and a powerful Kylian Mbappé. It was the French international who opened the scoring in the 22nd minute, well-served by the unstoppable Bellingham.
Despite Barça's slight dominance in possession, Real Madrid were much more aggressive offensively. However, a mistake from Güler allowed Fermín López to equalize for the Blaugranas in the 38th minute, following a precise cross from Marcus Rashford.
But Madrid quickly responded. In the 43rd minute, Jude Bellingham finished off a superb move initiated by Vinicius Junior to restore the lead to the "White House".
In the second half, Real Madrid could have extended their lead after Eric Garcia's handball in the box, but Mbappé missed his penalty in the 52nd minute. Despite this miss, the Merengues managed to maintain their lead until the final whistle.
Thanks to this victory, Real Madrid take sole control of La Liga with 27 points, five points ahead of FC Barcelona. This crucial victory rekindles Madrid's momentum and confirms the excellent form of the Bellingham–Mbappé duo.
