Commissariat de Touba : Convoqué pour menaces de mort, Junior Lo vandalise le bureau de l'enquêteur
A son of former MP Moustapha Cissé Lô was arrested by the special police station in Touba before being brought before the Diourbel High Court, according to Seneweb sources.
It all started when a 17-year-old minor named Baye Serigne Ndiaye went to the Touba special police station accompanied by his mother. The complainant filed a complaint against Moustapha Mbacké Lo, alias Junior Lo, for death threats and harassment.
According to statements given by investigators to the minor, he was the victim of repeated death threats from the accused. Junior Lo allegedly stalked him constantly, even going so far as to break into his family home to find him.
The conflict between the two protagonists originates from a money dispute. Junior Lo had given the sum of 80,000 CFA francs to the young Baye Serigne Ndiaye so that he could buy shock absorbers for his vehicle.
The complainant told investigators that he had indeed purchased the requested parts. Unfortunately, the shock absorbers he acquired were not compatible with Junior Lo's vehicle.
Faced with this situation, the plaintiff's mother offered to give Junior Lo back his money. But he retorted that he didn't need the money, but rather wanted to get his hands on Baye Serigne Ndiaye.
A meeting that descends into chaos
Junior Lo was summoned to the Touba special police station to explain the accusations against him. He appeared at the summons but categorically refused to comment on the matter.
The investigators then invited him to listen to the complainant's version of events. It was at this precise moment that the situation deteriorated, according to Seneweb sources.
The former MP's son flew into a rage. He started shouting before turning on the office furniture. In an uncontrollable fit of anger, he smashed a chair and a table belonging to the office of the investigator in charge of the case, thus destroying state property.
He was subdued and taken into custody.
Faced with this outburst of violence, the officers present quickly intervened to subdue Junior Lo and put an end to his destruction. He was immediately taken into custody.
The case against the accused has thus become more serious. In addition to the initial accusations of death threats and harassment, there has been the added charge of destroying state property.
At the end of his police custody, Moustapha Mbacké Lo, also known as Junior Lo, was brought before the prosecutor at the Diourbel High Court. He was reportedly remanded in custody by the prosecutor.
