Coupe d’Italie : Boulaye Dia met fin à six mois de disette
Six long months without finding the back of the net: Boulaye Dia was going through a difficult period with Lazio. But this Wednesday, in the first leg of the Coppa Italia semi-final, the Senegalese international striker finally ended his drought.
Having come on in the 76th minute to replace Daniel Maldini, the African champion restored his team's lead in the 87th minute, scoring his first goal in six months.
Just when Lazio thought they had secured a valuable victory, Atalanta came back to level the score two minutes later (89th), thanks to Yunus Musah.
Despite the late equalizer, this goal comes at the perfect time for the former Stade de Reims striker, just days before the March international break. It's a positive sign for the Lions' forward, who is determined to regain his confidence.
