Coupe du monde 2026 : Brésil, coup dur pour Raphinha
Brazil will have to do without Raphinha for their last group stage match of the 2026 World Cup. The FC Barcelona winger, injured during the Seleção's victory against Haiti (3-0), underwent medical tests which confirmed a muscle injury.
Forced off during Thursday's match after feeling pain, the Brazilian international immediately sparked concern among the staff and fans. Initial diagnoses pointed to a muscle problem, but no details were given regarding the length of his absence.
The test results are now in: Raphinha will not be able to play in the third group stage match against Scotland. His participation in the round of 32 also remains very uncertain, although the medical staff hopes to have him back if Brazil continues its run in the competition.
This absence is a real blow for the Seleção, as the former Rennes player is a key element of the Brazilian attacking system. The coach will now have to find a solution to compensate for the absence of one of his most decisive players as the knockout matches approach.
