Coupe du monde 2026: La FIFA va redistribuer 300 millions d'euros aux clubs qui libéreront leurs joueurs

FIFA announced Tuesday that it will redistribute some 300 million euros to clubs that release their players during the 2026 World Cup, which will take place from June 11 to July 19 in the United States, Canada and Mexico.

The budget for the 2022 edition in Qatar was around 176 million euros, an increase of 70%.

This program, the result of an agreement with the powerful European Club Association, now also concerns players made available during the qualifications, even if they do not participate in the final phase (June 11 to July 19, 2026).

The previous envelope, reserved for clubs employing players from the 32 teams participating in the Qatari World Cup, had allowed $209 million (€176 million) to be distributed to 440 teams "from 51 FIFA member federations," the organization said.
