Coupe Intercontinentale : Ibrahim Mbaye et le PSG remportent un 6e trophée grâce à un Safonov incroyable

A banner year for Ibrahim Mbaye and Paris Saint-Germain. Already winners of every possible title on the domestic stage, as well as the Champions League and the European Super Cup, Paris Saint-Germain secured a sixth trophy in 2025 on Wednesday. The Parisians triumphed in the Intercontinental Cup final against Flamengo (1-1, 3-1 on penalties).

This new title is largely thanks to PSG's Russian goalkeeper, Matvey Safonov, who delivered an exceptional performance during the penalty shootout, saving four penalties.

Having come on as a substitute at the start of extra time, Ibrahim Mbaye adds a sixth trophy to his collection in 2025, concluding a historic year with the Parisian club.
